- Project manager of the proteomic platform
- Responsible for the development of new and ongoing projects leading to publications
- Responsible for the development and writing of new projects in the field of proteomic together with the HOD
Main activities:
- Establish the link between proteomics and other projects in the different fields of the laboratory
- Collaborate with other scientists and you will provide original proteomics approaches.
- Develop new collaborations within and outside the CRP-Santé on a national and international level together with the HOD
- Present results in proteomics at meetings and congresses
Main professional relations:
- Functional reporting line: project leader or researcher, HOD
- Internal: project leader, members of the project team, HOD
- External: dealing with external professional contacts as defined in his/her research projects
The candidate must have the following skills:
- Identification and characterization of proteins: Protein mass fingerprint and de novo sequencing techniques (MALDI TOF/TOF and LC-MS ion trap) / Two dimensional gel electrophoresis and two dimensional Western blot /
- Data interpretation via bioinformatics tools: Bruker and Agilent software / Protein data bases with MASCOT / One area of life sciences relevant to the scientific activities of the department Skills in virology are considered an asset.
Scientific competence, work experience, diplomas and other requirements:
- PhD in the field of proteomics or a related field
- Strong background in mass spectrometry and related techniques, good knowledge in bioinformatics
- Experience in project management
- Excellent supervising, management and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and interact with a multi-disciplinary team of scientists
- Passionate, creative, dynamic, result oriented
- Proficiency in English and good scientific writing skills are a must.
