to commence in October 2011.
The International Graduate School in Molecular Medicine Ulm is a central institution of Ulm University providing high quality training for doctoral students in a structured, three year’s programme. The scientific bases for the International Graduate School in Molecular Medicine Ulm are externally funded research networks with proven excellence.
Successful candidates are expected to work in one of the following research projects:

Role of secretome of senescent fibroblasts on skin cancer progression
Karin Scharffetter-Kochanek
IKK/ NF-kB Signaling in Inflammatory Cardiomyopathy
Thomas Wirth
RPTPa- and PAKs mediated in cellular contractility
Götz von Wichert (Ulm, Germany) and K. Burridge (Chapel Hill, USA)
Model-based structural analysis of the cytoskeleton in mesenchymal cells

PhD students will receive a tax-free fellowship of 1200 € per month (or a corresponding work contract) for 3 years except the studentship for Model-based structural analysis of the cytoskeleton in mesenchymal cells, which is limited to one year. The Graduate School will cover travel expenses between Ulm and the partner institutions.
