The International School for Advanced Studies of Trieste (SISSA) announces the availability of PhD fellowships in Cognitive Neuroscience, of four years’ duration. SISSA is the leading scientific institution in Italy for research and postgraduate training in mathematics, theoretical physics, and neuroscience. Around half of the students are non-Italian, and English is used in all academic activities.
The postgraduate program at SISSA features small research groups with close supervisor interactions. Research is conducted through state-of-the art facilities including an array of neurophysiological methods as well as fMRI. Core courses and elective courses cover a broad spectrum ranging from molecular biology to systems and behavioral neuroscience, cognitive and social neuroscience.
The objective of our Cognitive Neuroscience training program is make our young investigators protagonists in research projects that harness the most advanced methods and strategies to explore the relationships between brain function and behavior.
