Ph.D. position in Molecular Immunology of Infectious Diseases,Magdeburg,Germany

1 Ph.D. position in Molecular Immunology of Infectious Diseases
is available at the Institute of Medical Microbiology of the University of Magdeburg, Germany.

We are interested in the pathogenesis of infectious diseases and study immune responses in murine cerebral malaria, toxoplamosis, and listeriosis. Using these models we currently focus on deubiquitinating enzymes, which are important signal transduction molecules regulating host immune responses. In the offered project we will study a new conditional knock-out mouse with cell type-specific deletion of otubain-1. Techniques include immunological, biochemical and molecular biological methods. Candidates should have experience in these techniques and complement our group of highly motivated immunologists and molecular biologists. The position is available for 1.5 years with the option to prolong it for additional 2 years. Payment is according to German TVÖD. References: Haroon et al. (2011) J.
