Four PhD Positions in Cancer Computational Biology

Cancer computational biology

Four PhD positions in Computational Biology are available at the IFOM-IEO Campus in Milan. The candidates will have the opportunity to work on cutting edge projects in cancer development and evolution. They will become familiar with gene expression and regulation, epigenetics, mutational and other high-throughput sequencing data and the integration thereof.

Admitted students will be trained in:

-programming
-statistics
-genomics
-machine learning
-network biology

Research will be conducted in one of three experimental labs with a consolidated bioinformatics expertise. They will have the opportunity to interact with an interdisciplinary and international community of more than 500 scientists, with an ongoing ambitious program in computational and systems biology.

The mission of the IFOM-IEO Campus is the development and application of genomics to research in basic and translational oncology. The Campus is located in Milan, the heart of the commercial/industrial north of Italy, where it benefits from numerous interactions with other scientific and medical organizations in the area. The European School of Molecular Medicine (SEMM) in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Genoa coordinates the PhD program.
