Postdoc Position in Molecular Immunology (Heidelberg)

Postdoctoral Position
at the Institute for Immunology, University of Heidelberg, Germany

The division „Molecular Immunology“ (Prof. Dr. Yvonne Samstag) offers
1 Postdoctoral position for a scientifically dedicated candidate.

Duration: three years, prolongation possible.
For advanced researchers, the possibility exists to acquire the degree “Habilitation” at the University of Heidelberg.

The project is funded by the DFG (Collaborative Research Center SFB 938: Milieu-dependent regulation of immunological activity).

Our internationally renowned research team focusses on signal transduction mechanisms regulating immune cell functions (activation, migration, effector functions) and the development of novel tools to influence these processes therapeutically. A special interest lies in the analysis of the role of redox regulation and remodelling of the cytoskeleton in human immune cells. In addition, generation of specific knock-in mice for in vivo analysis of immune cell regulation will be performed (collaboration with scientists at the german cancer research center).

The Institute for Immunology offers an excellent research environment with modern equipment and surrounding core facilities. A broad range of experimental methods (immunological methods, cell imaging, biochemistry and molecular biology) is established in our team.

Applications should contain a cover letter, CV, copies of examinations and the names of three referees including contact data.
