The Institute
The Leibniz Institute of Ecological Urban and Regional Development (IOER) is member of the Leibniz Association and with its more than 130 employees the largest spatial planning science institute in Germany. It carries out interdisciplinary research into issues of sustainable urban and regional development from an ecological perspective across all spatial scales.
The position
You are preparing a doctoral thesis on scenario-based environmental planning for regional climate change adaptation. Main focus is the treatment of scenario and model uncertainties from climate change impact assessment in planning instruments for environmental protection or management of environmental risks.
Your competences
A master’s degree in geography with knowledge in physical and human aspects and planning issues or comparable education with very good to excellent grade is requested.
