PhD position in Infection Biology at the Max Planck Institute in Berlin,Germany

A PhD position is available for candidates motivated to study the pathogenesis of malaria parasite infection within the Department of Parasitology headed by Prof. Kai Matuschewski at the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology.  Our group is focused on understanding the host and parasite factors required for parasite development within its hosts primarily using the rodent malaria parasite model Plasmodium berghei. The project will focus on host - pathogen interactions during both the liver and blood stages of infection.

Applicants should have a masters or diploma degree and good experimental skills in biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, or infection biology.
