PhD student (f/m) in bioinformatics and computational biology

We are seeking a highly motivated and
outstanding PhD student to join us who will work in a collaborative project of the Institute of Pharmacy and Biochemsitry with the Institute of Translational Oncology, a newly founded institute located in Mainz. The project aims to generate databases of calculated chemical 3D-structures which can serve either as ligand or receptor in estimations of ligand-receptor interactions. The project focuses on therapeutical questions in the treatment of cancer patients.

Methoden:
Furthermore, we expect:
-       The ideal candidate has a strong background in bioinformatics and computational biology and holds a Master or Diploma degree in computer science, bioinformatics or physics.
-       The candidate should possess a core understanding of drug-receptor interactions.
-       In addition, the candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be capable of working within an interdisciplinary team.
