Research Associate (wissenschaftliche/r Mitarbeiter/in).
The contract starts on a 75% FTE basis (29.25 hours/week), but can be increased to a full position as from 1 June 2012, subject to the release of funds. Salary group is 13 TV-L.
Starting date: As soon as possible.
The contract will be short-term and end after three years* (see also § 2 of the Academic Fixed-Term Contract Law (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz)).

Responsibilities:
A research associate’s duties include academic service, primarily in the areas of research and teaching. Within this framework associates have the opportunity to further their academic qualification, in particular through the completion of a doctoral dissertation. At least one-third (9.75 hours/week) of the set working hours will be made available for this purpose.
Areas of Responsibility:
Working independently in research and teaching. Applicants with interest in either Real Estate Economics, Urban Economics, Sports Economics or Transportation Economics are preferred. Applicants should be skilled in mathematic and/or statistical-econometric methods or be prepared to gain good knowledge in these methods.
Requirements:
Academic degree (B. Sc., M. Sc.) in Economics, Business Administration, Economathematics, Statistics, Geography or the like, qualifying the holder to carry out the above-mentioned responsibilities.
