The Institute of Theoretical and Physical Chemistry of the University of Tübingen is offering a Ph.D. position for highly controlled deposition of organic magnets on well-organised insulator surfaces. This is the challenge that we will address by using "state of the art" highly resolved soft X-ray techniques, spectroscopy and microscopy, including investigations at synchrotrons. Candidates with an MSc or equivalent degree in Chemistry/Physics/related discipline are strongly encouraged to apply. The candidate should be highly motivated, fluent in English, have good interpersonal communication skills, and be interested in working in an interdisciplinary team. Previous experience with Ultra High Vacuum techniques is welcome. The position is immediately available and will remain open until filled. The salary scale is 50% TV-L E13.
