Applicants are invited to join our research team focusing on cellular and bacterial signaling in host-pathogen interactions. We are specifically interested in the characterization of posttranslational modifications of proteins during the process of infection. The successful applicant will join this interfaculty and collaborative research unit to study signaling events by state-of-the-art proteomic techniques.
Your studies will include:
- Establishment and application of infection models
- Establishment and application of methods for peptide- and protein purification
- Analysis of eukaryotic and bacterial protein samples with mass spectrometry
- Identification and quantification of posttranslational protein modifications
Successful applicants must hold a master's level degree in biochemistry, biology or related disciplines with a strong background in cellular and molecular biology. The position is available immediately for three years. Salary is paid according to TV-L depending on the applicants’ qualification. Applicants should include a CV, list of publications, letter of motivation, statement of research experience and two references.
