Time: 2 years (Oct. 2011 - Oct 2013), funding according to guidelines of the Austrian Science Fund (FWF).
Title of the project: Cooperativity of Transcription Factors in Inflammation and Cancer
Profile: Candidates should have a profound knowledge in molecular biology and life sciences with an emphasis on signaling processes. Experience in the following techniques will be of advantage: cell culture and transfection of mammalian cells, transgene mouse technologies, fluorescence microscopy, histology, protein-DNA interactions (EMSA's, ChIP assays, reporter gene assays), expression analyses (microarrays) and realtime PCR.
Expertise or profound interest in bioinformatics and systems biology is expected.
Candidates should have the ability to work independently, have a good command of spoken and written English, as well as proficiency in manuscript writing and be good team players with a strong commitment to science.
Qualification: PhD degree in natural sciences or medicine.
