Postdoctoral Position in Collaborative Research Center "Milieu-dependent regulation of immunological reactivity", German Cancer Research Center

The division Redox Regulation seeks scientifically dedicated applicants for a post-doctoral position to study how endogenous oxidants regulate the initiation and termination of inflammation.

The project is part of the newly established DFG-funded Collaborative Research Center SFB 938 “Milieu-dependent regulation of immunological reactivity”. The project will investigate a novel H2O2-sensing protein involved in the control of inflammatory signaling pathways in myeloid cells.

The DKFZ is the largest biomedical research institute in Germany and offers an excellent research environment with state of the art equipment and core facilities. The institute is very international and command of the German language is not essential. For further information about the laboratory, see http://www.dkfz.de/en/redoxregulation/index.html. For general information about the new Collaborative Research Center, see http://www.bio-pro.de/magazin/index.html?lang=en&artikelid=/artikel/05939/index.html.

A PhD in the Life Sciences, advanced knowledge of biochemistry/molecular biology and immunology, and substantial laboratory experience are required. The successful candidate must be fluent in English, with excellent writing and communication skills. He/she should enjoy working in a team, and with collaborators.
Candidates interested in applying, please contact Tobias Dick (t.dick{at}dkfz.de). Full applications include a CV, transcripts of relevant certificates (showing grades), names and contact of two qualified references and a Statement of Research Interests, and should preferentially be sent by email as one large pdf file.
