Grunenthal GmbH, Global Preclinical R&D, Molecular Pharmacology, seeks candidates for the following position: an experienced PhD candidate with a background in “Inflammation Research”

Required:
PhD “Inflammation Research” in Molecular Pharmacology:
We are looking for a highly motivated scientist (PhD or MD) with a strong background in inflammation research including an in-depth understanding of the pathology of chronic inflammatory diseases and the respective molecular pathways. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of working experience and track record of interdisciplinary research preferably in a pharma/biotech industry or academic setting. A profound knowledge of immune cell function and signalling pathways is required. Additional knowledge on biotherapeutics is regarded as a surplus. The candidate will contribute to the target identification, evaluation and validation in the area of chronic inflammation and autoimmune diseases, resulting in novel projects for drug discovery (assay development, screening, lead finding and optimization). This includes the establishment and management of internal resources as well as external (international) collaborations with CROs and academic groups. The candidate will closely interact with members of other research disciplines with the goal to advance research projects from an exploratory to a proof-of-concept status.
 
We expect a highly self-motivated and well organized person with initiative and creativity as well as social competence. You should be a team player with good networking skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills including fluency in English language are mandatory.
