Postdoc in Biomicrofluidics,Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany

A full-time position for a post-doctoral fellow is available in the laboratory of Dr. Robert Stark (Center of Smart Interfaces and Dept. of Materials Science, Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany).

Microfluidic systems with functional surfaces are valuable tools for biomedical research. Highly specialized devices allow us to investigate various biological processes in vitro. Our aim is to develop polymer microdevices for biomicrofluidic applications with tailored surface properties to optimize the functionality.

The successful candidate has graduated with a PhD within the past three years in materials sciences, engineering, physics or a related discipline. Applicants with a strong background in microdevice fabrication and microfluidics are encouraged to apply. Fluent English and proven writing skills together with a strong interest for biological systems allow the candidate to communicate with partners in biology or medicine.
The position (TVL-E13) is fully funded and available immediately. The initial appointment will be for one year with the potential for extension depending upon performance.

TU Darmstadt is committed to equal opportunity in employment and gender equality in its working environment. To increase equal gender distribution, we strongly encourage applications from qualified women.  Preference will be given to applicants with disabilities who are equally qualified.
Please e-mail your application (CV, list of publications, letter of motivation and contact details of two referees) to
