A predoctoral position for carrying out research in the Group of Molecular and Industrial Biotechnology (GBMI), within the biomedical pole of the Catalan Bioregion, at the new Gaia research building at the Campus of Terrassa of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, is offered to a motivated individual graduated in a life sciences connected discipline with strong background in biochemistry, molecular biology and biotechnology.
The research project is focused on the molecular mechanisms of diseases (retinal degeneration, depression) associated with G-protein-coupled receptors structural and functional alterations.
Candidates must hold a University degree and a Master’s degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, biophysics, structural biology, chemistry or related fields. The University BSc degree should have been obtained after 2006.
Motivation and good capacity for integrating in a stimulating interdisciplinary research environment is required. Expertise in biophysical techniques would be a plus.
