Postdoc Position in “Synthesis of functional polymers for biological applications”
You will be involved in the synthesis of biocompatible, multifunctional polymers for drug delivery applications and tissue engineering. The preparation and modification of poly(oxazolines) and poly(ethyleneglycols) are in the main area of focus. Therefore, modern synthesis (microwaves, glove box, autoclave, high-throughput experimentation,…) as well as state of the art characterization devices (NMR, MALDI, chromatography, analytical ultracentifigation,…) will be used to design tailored functional polymers and evaluate structure-property relationships to further test them in strong cooperation with industry concerning their ability for biological applications.
Qualifications: Recently finished a PhD in chemistry. Good practical synthesis capabilities, knowledge of polymer chemistry, interest and enthusiastic attitude, and good understanding of German and English.
Please send your curriculum vitae together with a motivation letter to inform us about your background, motives, what your input will be to the group and what you want to pursue in your career. Please also include the requisition number and reference letter(s) from your supervisor(s).
