Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Southern Denmark in Odense, invites applications for a PhD position to be filled from 1 March, 2011 or soon thereafter.
The research project concerns characterization of the conformational properties of various amyloi-dogenic proteins using hydrogen/deuterium exchange mass spectrometry (HX-MS). The aim is to explore the molecular mechanism(s) of protein aggregation/fibril formation.
The applicant should have an M.Sc. degree in biochemistry or a related field and documented ex-perience in protein mass spectrometry. Practical experience with analysis of proteins by hydro-gen/deuterium exchange monitored by mass spectrometry (HX-MS) is preferred. Proficiency in written and spoken English is an absolute requirement.
Application deadline is 2 February, 2011 at 12 o’clock noon.
