W1 Junior Professorship Applied Plant Nutrition (Göttingen)

The Department of Crop Sciences, Institute of Applied Plant Nutrition
of Georg-August University Goettingen, Germany invites applications
for the newly installed position of the
Junior-Professorship (W1) for Applied Plant Nutrition.
The position is to be filled during the winter term 2011/2012.
The junior professorship will advance and apply scientific knowledge
of mineral plant nutrition focusing on improving the resource use
efficiency of nutrients and water in crop plant growth. The position
provides opportunity to conduct and supervise a junior research group
at the newly founded Institute of Applied Plant Nutrition at Georg-
August University Goettingen, Germany. Candidates should be familiar
with methods of nutrient turnover quantification.
Close cooperation with various university institutes as well as
national and international research centres is explicitly desired.
Appointments will be made by the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen as
a Public Law Foundation according to section 30 of the Higher
Education Law of Lower Saxony and by K+S An-Instituts-Verwaltungs
GmbH. The position is a fixed-term professorship for the duration of
three years. Pending a positive evaluation, the position may be
extended by another period of three years. If the applicant was
employed as a research assistant either before or after obtaining the
doctoral degree, the entire duration of the period of employment and
of the doctoral degree should not exceed six years. Please visit
