Regulation of cardiomyogenesis of embryonic stem cells by lipoproteins and the energy metabolism (Giessen, Germany)

Data of our group demonstrate that cardiomyogenesis of embryonic stem cells is regulated by the energy metabolism which is closely linked to the uptake of lipoproteins by cells. We offer an opportunity for a PhD student (funded by a scholarship) to perform experimental work on the mechanisms of cardiomyogenesis of mouse embryonic stem cells.

The successful applicant will receive a state-of-the art education in stem cell technology in an international working group and a challenging scientific environment. Knowledge of molecular biology and cell biology techniques is of advantage.
