We are a member of the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres, a leading association Europe-wide, focusing on "Environmental Health".

The aim of our research is to proactively detect health risks for both humans and the environment, decoding the mechanisms of pathogenesis and developing concepts for prevention and therapy of diseases.

Job Description
- Stochastic modeling of atherosclerosis after exposure to ionising radiation
- Integration of cellular effects into mathematical models for atherosclerosis
- Analyses of epidemiological data
- Analysis of consequences for the risk from ionising radiation with special consideration of model uncertainties

Your Qualifications
- PhD in physics or mathematics
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Experience in modeling of complex processes
- Experience with a higher programming language such as C/C++
- Highly motivated and team oriented
