Postdoctoral Scientist ,Heidelberg,Germany

The Research Group “Microcirculation and cell migration” at the University of Heidelberg, Department of General Surgery searches for a
Postdoctoral Scientist
(DFG grant)
with interest in the role of immune response in cancer. Our research group belongs to the Department of General and Experimental Surgery. The team supervised by Dr. E. Ryschich investigates mechanisms of interaction between immune cells and tumor. The postdoctoral fellow taking up this position will participate at the project dealing with mechanisms which control the process of leukocyte infiltration in human pancreatic cancer. The position is available from January 1, 2012 for 3 years. Salary scale is the usual funding for postdocs in Germany.
Requirements:
Applicants must have a PhD and must be fluent in English both orally and in writing. Experiences with cell biology, immunology and animal experiments are strongly preferred.
