Ph.D. student or post-doc level, (TV-L 13) for contextual reasoning and representation (Karlsruhe)

The TecO research group at the chair of Pervasive Computing at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) invites applications for a research position (doctoral student or post-doctoral level) in the area of contextual reasoning for digital preservation of business processes within the EU FP7 project TIMBUS (Timeless Business: http://timbusproject.net/ and http://www.teco.edu/research/projects/timbus/index.html).

The ideal candidate combines a strong background in knowledge representation/engineering and semantic web technologies with openness to interdisciplinary scientific viewpoints and application areas. Applicants must have a master (doctoral student position) or Ph.D. (post-doctoral position) in computer science or a closely related field, and be fluent in English and/or German.

The TecO at KIT is an internationally well-renowned research group in Ubiquitous Computing and wireless sensor networks and has significant experience in the area of reasoning in context-aware systems.
