Main topic will be the measurement and analysis of interaction forces between chromatographic beads and cellular layers by atomic force microscopy / spectroscopy. The analysis of the interactions is based on classical but also extended DLVO theories. The project is in collaboration with a biotechnology group on campus interested in optimizing product recovery processes by a better understanding of the involved interaction forces. Methoden:
